Sakedokoro Makoto

4822 MacArthur Blvd NW | Washington DC 20007 | 202.298.6866

Sakedokoro means Place of Sake, and Makoto simply means Harmony.

Since opening in 1994, Sakedokoro Makoto has provided an exclusive dining experience to the DC metro area. Our concept is to offer a Tokyo styled Kappo dining experience in which the Chef modifies or changes the menu on a daily basis. Sakedokoro Makoto is not a Sushi bar but an establishment that explores modern Japanese cooking using locally sourced & imported ingredients.

We are currently taking customers on a reservation only basis. You may cancel your reservation 24 hours prior and emergency cancellations will be taken into consideration. If you do not show up for your dinner reservation, we will charge a $125 per person “no show” fee. Prompt arrival is much appreciated.
